How I got my first DW watch
When I was 16, I told my friend "I think I want a leather DW watch sia it looks so simple yet elegant" cause he asked me what do I want for my birthday and that was how I first received my first DW watch. It was with a full black leather strap.
As you can see in the photo, there is no leather because the straps are interchangeable. The second piece from the left side is supposed to be leather but I received a nato strap used it on the petite ashfield one while the ashfield strap is used in the one that was supposedly for the leather. sounds confusing so let me summarize this for you. "straps are interchangeable so feel free to mix around as it is easy to do so."
I was like telling my another friend that has 80k followers "walao I also want DW to sponsor me sia recommend me ley" next moment before he even try to recommend me I realized DW actually emailed me to collaborate just that I did not check my inbox.
The first collaboration they gave me a black classic petite ashfield. I mean of course I was the one that chose it so from the moment I saw it I fell in love right away because I like how simple and classic it looks which complements my lupsup outfits making me look less lupsup than what I would look like without the watch. I posted on all the dates that I was told to post with the appropriate captions. I think this collaboration was back in 2018?
I was told to choose a bracelet also so that was how the golden bracelet came along. It has an "elegant vibe" and the size is adjustable which is good to cater to all females that wants to have it but scared that its too big which is a common problem for us nowadays.
The second collaboration followed soon after. I chose a watch for my boyfriend. We were together for like, less than 1 month but I was like why not since we have been dating for quite awhile before getting together plus I already know that he does not have a watch so I willingly dragged him to pick up a couple watch with me.
This time round it came with a strap of my choice so I chose the nato strap which reflected a "casual vibe" in my opinion so I wear that strap together with my casual outfits.
The third collaboration happened a couple of months back. The collaboration was all about promoting the newly launched Dover watch. FYI it looks super duper high class so if you have PBM(parent bf meeting) you can consider wearing it. I loved the completely white one as I have several long dresses that are white colour and I felt that it would look amazing together. (too bad I dont own a pair of white heels) but like my mother told me she likes it too so I'm actually considering to give it to her. Anyways, I chose 2 rings with it as I wanted a couple ring with my boyfriend.
Summary
Someone told me if I blog about what I chose to receive for sponsorships it will look like I am bragging because I have more than 100 sponsorship collaborations before its even 2019 but the thing is if I am bragging I would just go out w all my watches everyday and show it off be like "haha loser you don't have watch" and like tbh DW watch is pretty affordable so I don't see that as bragging since its not like I am posting about getting sponsored by my all time "no-money-to-buy-shops" such as... ok wait nevermind I cant think of any super high end shops cause I don't have any. Helps.
Ok my bestfriend says "Chanel Prada Rolex". Sounds atas ok but I don't know the prices oh well.
anyways I am just trying to like show the different kind of watches that I went to look for because I want them for my different types of outfits. There is casual, elegant, lupsup for now and obviously I will be stopping here.
If DW continues to sponsor me I will just give it to my friends that does not have a watch I guess? I mean, I am not intending to sell it since I got it for free even though I usually get paid quite abit to post but like I already have 2 watches, one extra strap, a bracelet and a ring with me.
Actually I am planning to give the next one to one of my close friends but she don't like wearing a watch so... see first?
Anyways, the whole purpose of this blog is just for people that asked what exactly did DW give me and also to help people find out which type of straps they should get cause all gives out a unique vibe. well, you cant go around wearing an elegant watch together with a singlet, shorts and slippers cause thats just weird isn't it?
Hope I get my point across if this clarification is not enough and it makes people think that I am bragging then I don't mind taking it down to make peace also cause this is just a blog that I decided to do because its school holidays and I am bored.
